Family View Days: Only dancers are allowed inside the dance classroom over the year. However, we do invite parents to stay during class one week in the months of October, January, & May. This gives the parents a chance to see their kids in action. We invite you to stay for the class so you can see what the dancers have learned and should be practicing at home. 

Bring a Friend to Class : At the last class in May, dancers are welcome to bring a friend to class with them to show off what they have learned and to let their friends experience Irish Dancing.

Dancer of the Month : Each month we concentrate on a different area of Irish Dancing. Children are rewarded at each class for their improvement in this area.  At the last class of the month, one dancer in each class is named "Dancer of the Month" for showing the most improvement in that specific concentration.

Shoe Bin: Available at the first class of every month. A bucket of used shoes from other KKO dancers will be available a the first class of every month for you to purchase or sell shoes. If you are looking to sell your shoes, please write you name, size & price on a numbered line in the notebook & place number on the bag. Place your shoes in a zip lock bag with a self addressed envelope.

Practice Calendars & Treasure Box: Every month beginners & advanced beginners will receive a practice calendar to mark down every night they have practiced over the week. We encourage all young dancers to practice at least 15 minutes a night. Dancers who remember to bring in their practice calendars to class will receive an Irish Dancing stamp on their calendar and a chance to go in the treasure box full of surprises. If you forget your calendar don’t worry, you can still get a stamp on your hand and bring your calendar in the following week.

Private Lessons: 1 Hour class a week Consists of a lesson 1-on-1 with your child and a faculty member of your choice. These lessons are extremely helpful in your child’s progress. Click here for more information on scheduling a private lesson.

Uniform: Every student at time of registration must purchase a starter pack that will include 1 school T-shirt & a pair of school shorts. This is to insure that our dress code will be enforced. School Costumes: All dancers must purchase a school dress before owning a solo dress. School dresses are always for sell from other dancers in the school or you can have a new costume made.

Team Requirements: All dancers who would like to be involved with a team competing at the Oireachtas or Nationals must have a school costume & wig.

Oireachtas Requirements: Any students planning to compete on a solo level in the Oireachtas qualifier must have competed with a team at the Oireachtas one year prior to solo competition.
