Classes prepare students for competition at your discretion 
Each student will be evaluated to be placed in proper class level.

Level 1:

Beginners

Dance class for students ages 18 months - 4 years old

Irish Dance, Music & Movement

A 30 minute introduction program designed to enhance rhythm skills, coordination, musicality & a genuine love for Irish Dance. Great for younger siblings!

Dance class for students ages 4 and up.  A 45 minute introduction program designed to enhance rhythm skills, coordination, musicality & a genuine love for Irish Dance. Basic soft shoe, Reel & Jig.

Level 2:

Advance Beginners

45 minute Soft Shoe class once a week, and a 30 minute Hard Shoe class once a week for 2nd & 3rd year dancers continuing there Irish Dance education. Expanding on concepts learned in Reel & Jig and commencing Slip Jig & Hard Shoe.  Dancers will prepare Reel, Light Jig, Slip Jig, Fast Hard Jig, Fast Hornpipe & Traditional Set for competition. Classes will enhance students technique as well as performance quality in each discipline.

Level 3:

Novice

45 minutes of Soft shoe once a week & 45 minutes of Hard Shoe once a week, for competition dancers who have received a place in Advanced Beginner at a feis in 2011.

Dancers will prepare Reel, Light Jig, Slip Jig, Fast & Slow Hard Jig, Fast & Slow Hornpipe for competition. Classes will enhance students technique as well as performance quality in each discipline.  Advanced students will concentrate on technique & performance for competition.

Level 4:

Prizewinner

1 hour of Soft shoe once a week & 1 hour of Hard Shoe once a week, for competition dancers who have received a place 1st Place in Novice at a feis in 2011.

Dancers will prepare Reel, Slip Jig, Slow Hard Jig, & Slow Hornpipe for competition. Classes will enhance students technique as well as performance quality in each discipline.  Advanced students will concentrate on technique & performance for competition.

Level 4 dancers may attend all solo classes offered.

Level 5:

Championships

1 hour of Soft shoe once a week & 1 hour of Hard Shoe once a week, for competition dancers who have received a place 1st Place in all Prizewinner dances at a feis in 2011 or before.

Dancers will prepare 3 steps in a light & heavy dance as well as contemporary set dances for competition.

Classes will enhance students technique as well as performance quality in each discipline.  Advanced students will concentrate on technique & performance for competition.

Dancers must have a 1st place in Prizewinner Slow Jig & Hornpipe to prepare for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Oireachtas in November.

Class will consist of exercises & drills of Championship level material. Dancers are expected to attend class 2 times a week, practice outside of class & schedule private lessons for upcoming major competitions.

Level 5 dancers may attend all solo classes offered.

Team Class (Ceili, Drama & Choreography): The program is designed to enhance team skills, coordination, dance movements & a team moral. Open to all dancers of an Advanced Beginner level and above.  Basic soft shoe & ceili dancing.  Dancers will compete at competition at the end of the year.  Teams compete annually at the Mid-Atlantic Oireachtas in Philadelphia, PA Thanksgiving weekend and at the North American Championships in July.  Attendance is extremely important.
