Joe Davis is a World Champion dancer from the Davis Dance Academy in Birmingham, England.

He recently placed 12th at the 2011 World Championships in Dublin, Ireland.

The Oireachtas Champ Camp is open to dancers that have already competed at the Oireachtas

in a solo or traditional set competition, or are preparing to participate in 2011.

It has been a long time dream of ours to open our own permanent dance studio. This year our dreams are becoming a reality.  All Our summer camps will be taught at the new studio in Baldwin Place!


This is a 2 week camp from July 11-21.

$200 per dancer. ($50 deposit due by July 1st).

*Special Champ Camp 2011 Shirt for dancers who sign up by 6/18*

$25 late fee will be enforced.

*If you can only make 1 week, it is recommended you come the 1st week. Individual weeks are $135 each.


 Week 1  (July 11-14)  5:00-8:00

During week 1, Joe will be teaching many new exercises, techniques, and new dance movements to be added to dance steps during week 2.  This material will be used for solos and teams for the Oireachtas.  He will also polish, tweak, and improve dancer's material for the upcoming Albany Feis Sat 7/16 & Rockland Feis Sun 7/17 at the weekend. Both Soft & Hard Shoe steps will be enhanced, with the purpose of dancers perfecting the material for the fall Oireachtas.  

Joe will also be attending and competing at the feis himself.


Week 2   (July 18-21)  3:30-7:30

During week 2, Joe will build off the new exercises, techniques, and dance moves taught in week 1.  Teaching new material, primarily heavy shoe & set dances, both Traditional & Contemporary.  Championship dancers competing in solos at the Oireachtas may also receive new steps for their Soft shoe dance.  This material will not be taught at a later date.

*Only dancers attending the camp will be permitted to use the new material in competition*
