Did my entry make the cut off?

A:  There are a couple of ways you can check to see if your entry made the cut off for the feis.

       1.  See if your check was cashed

       2.  A complete updated list will be posted on the webpage by 1/8/08

       3.  All entries that were picked up at the post office by Friday 12/28/08 have been updated on the webpage at this time.

We will only be accepting entries that are postmarked on or before 12/30/07 as we have reached our maximum

entry number of 1,000.  All entries post marked after 12/30/07 will be returned unopened.

No Entry will be accepted the day of the feis.

If your entry was not received and posted on the webpage by 1/8/08 then

unfortunately it did not make the cut off.

I  mailed my entry but I do not see it posted on your website.

A:  We update the webpage every 2-3 days. If your entry is not posted, it may be included in the next batch to be updated.  If you mailed your entry more than 10 days ago, check to see if your check was cashed.  If your check wasn't cashed and you don't see your entry posted, then we did not receive it. Sorry.

Do I make a separate check out to the charity for Jiggin' 4a Cure?

A:  No, the feis makes one big donation to the charity based on the number of entries.  You can write one check to the Kelly-Oster School to cover your entire entry fee.

I have 1 dancer doing 4 dances ($28) and another dancer doing 4 dances ($28),

plus they will both do the jiggin' 4a cure ($20x2).

That puts my total at $96. Is the Jiggin' 4a cure included in the family fee of $80?

A:  No, Jiggin' 4a Cure is not included in the Family fee.  The proceeds from this competition & T-shirt sales will be donated to the charity, therefore al dancers must pay the fee for the charity dance & T-shirt

This is my first time entering for Preliminary.  Do I pay $30 per dance?

A:  The Prelim fee is $30 for the entire competition, soft & hard shoe together.  Additional competitions (ie traditional set or Jiggin' 4a Cure) are an additional fee or $7.00 each.

Can I enter Online?

A: NO.  There is no online entry system.  You must mail an index card with your check to the address above.

If my entry is postmarked by 12/20/07, but the feis committee does not receive it

till after 12/20, do I have to pay a $10 late fee?

A:  No.  All entries post marked by 12/20/07 do not have to pay a late fee.  However, entries postmarked after 12/20/07 and before 1/8/08 will be charged a $10 late fee.  Entries will not be accepted after 1/8/08.

What does the Art & Music Competitions pertain?

A:  Any Irish Art piece can be entered.  There is no limit on size or ability.  If it is art it can be entered.

Music will be judged on the musical aspects and qualities of the Irish piece performed by the competitor.  All songs should be of a traditional irish nature.  Tone, dynamics, style, breathing & other musical techniques will be considered by the judge.
