When you arrive at the feis
1. If you are not a dancer, you will have to pay an entrance fee ($12)
2. After you get inside, make your way to the entries desk, where you can pick up your competitor number.
3. Stages 1 & 8 will be Prelim & Open Champs. Stages 2 through 7 will be Solos. Solos will dance all soft shoe on one stage, and all hard shoe on another stage.
Championships will dance Hard Shoe First in Preliminary
Open Championships will dance Soft Shoe first, then Set Piece
*There is NO VIDEO TAPING or flash photography allowed during the competition.
4. About 20 minutes after you finish dancing, results will be posted on the awards board near the gym entrance. Look for your competition number. If the number pinned on your belly is listed under 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th you won & must go to the trophy table to collect your prizes. If your number is not posted then we wish you better luck next time.
5. Trophy Table (near stage 1). You will have to get in line according to your placement of 1st, 2nd, etc. The dancer will need to present their competitor number and sign to pick up their medal or trophy. *It is very difficult to get your award after the feis is over so please try to pick up all your medals and trophies before you leave the feis.
6. If you would like a copy of the judges marks to see how you did in regards to the rest of the competition or if there are any comments from the judge, you can proceed to the Marks table. Again you will need to present your competitor number and sign.
7. Even though it may be very overwhelming your first time, just remember to have fun :) and take your time. There will be a lot of people there and the feis staff works very hard to keep all the chaos organized. We will make sure your dancer does not miss their competition. Please stay alert, listen, and follow the signs posted at the stages.
Good Luck to All Competitors
